About CG Auto in Brighton and Hove

CG Auto has been a fixture in Portslade for over ten years, trusted by local drivers to look after their vehicles without fuss or inflated costs. Recently under new ownership, the garage has grown considerably, offering more services, more modern equipment, and a larger team, while keeping the straightforward, reliable approach the area has always known it for.

Built for modern vehicles

The facility is purpose-built and well-equipped, with seven ramps capable of accommodating most passenger cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, a dedicated MOT bay, and a tyre bay. All diagnostic and alignment equipment is Bosch, which means accurate, consistent results.

Qualifications that set us apart

CG Auto is a Bosch Service centre, holds Level 4 EV training, and carries accreditations from the IMI, 1link, and ARVAL. EV servicing, ADAS calibration, and 3D four-wheel alignment are among the areas where CG Auto genuinely stands out locally. LCV capability up to 3.5 tonnes is also relatively uncommon among independent garages in Brighton and Hove, making us a practical choice for van drivers and small businesses.

CG Auto offers the same capability, trained technicians, and manufacturer-grade equipment as the main dealers, at more competitive prices and with faster turnaround times.

Convenient service

For customers who can’t get to the workshop, a mobile unit is available for minor servicing and repairs at the roadside, at home, or at a workplace. We’re pleased to offer a collection and delivery within 15 miles, and courtesy cars and vans are available for those who need to keep moving.

There is ample parking on site, and the customer waiting area is comfortable, with free Wi-Fi, a coffee shop, and toilet facilities, and for those who prefer to head off while their vehicle is in the garage, we are located close to the high street, with buses nearby and the train station just a short walk away.
